Successful people and their way of Thinking!

 

Hey, friends, I hope you are doing well with your blogging spirit and why not you are here to be great one day and I am sure if you can keep that spirit ALIVE then you will be a great blogger and ultimately a writer one day.

Today I have decided to write something different but as far as I consider there is nothing to write differently, it is all there. I am just recollecting the things which are scattered here and there.

 

Most of us believe in success stories of great people, we believe because they are not just happened they are made. Great people sacrificed everything in order to reach these milestones. Behind every success story, there is a lot of pain, hard work, sacrifices, sweat, struggle and this list can be endless.

Let’s not talk about what they did in their life or how struggled they. I will like to jump into their thought process and the way they faced the critical situations on the basis of their thoughts.

I have some great people in my mind who was absolutely brilliant in their thought process and facing the worse in life. Few of them are Thomas Alva Edison, Napoleon Bonaparte, Swami Vivekananda.

Let’s begin with:

 

Thomas Alva Edison:

Credit to his Mother– One day Thomas Edison came home and gave a paper to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother.”His mother’s eyes were tearful as she read the letter out loud to her child: Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself. After many, many years, after Edison’s mother died and he was now one of the greatest inventors of the century, one day he was looking through old family things. Suddenly he saw a folded paper in the corner of a drawer in a desk. He took it and opened it up.On the paper was written: Your son is addled [mentally ill]. We won’t let him come to school anymore. Edison cried for hours and then he wrote in his diary: “Thomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero mother, became the genius of the century.”

 Swami Vivekananda:

Personally, He is my favourite leader among all. I like him a lot, his philosophy, his life incidents and his confidence inspire me, motivate me to move ahead positively. Whatever I am today, half of credit goes to this man. Thank you, Swami ji.

Few incidence of his life:

• Swami Vivekananda once went to the Maharaja of Alwar (a the-then state in India, now a part of Rajasthan, India) to meet him. This was the pre-independence era where the British had given powers to the Maharaja, and hence he had become a powerful king.While talking about religion and faith, the Maharaja and his minister expressed doubts about idol worship. In short, they looked down upon it and made some cutting remarks about the same.

  Addressing the minister, Swami Vivekananda said, “Take this picture of your King, the Maharaja of Alwar, and spit on it. Can you do it?”

  There was pin-drop silence in the room. Nobody was sure how to react.

  Then Swamiji said, “Even though he is standing next to you, you have the ’emotion’ that Maharaja is there in the picture, hence you cannot spit on it. Similarly, when a Hindu worships an idol, he doesn’t say, ‘O stone, I am worshipping you.’ He has the ’emotion’ that God resides in that idol.”

 

• Once a British asked Swami Vivekananda -” Why can’t you wear proper clothes to look like a gentleman?”
  Swami Vivekananda smiled and said-” In your culture, a tailor makes a gentleman; but, in our culture, Character makes a gentleman.”

 

• When  Swami Vivekananda lived in Chicago, he used to go to the library and borrow large volumes of books and take them home and return them the next day. A few days later, the  librarian became curious and asked him, “Why do you take out so many books when you can’t  read them all in one day?” Swami Vivekananda replied that he read each and every page of every book. The librarian could not believe it, and so Swami Vivekananda asked her to test him. She opened a book, selected a page and paragraph, and asked him to tell her what was written there. Swami Vivekananda repeated the sentence exactly as it was written in the book, without looking at it. The librarian was astounded and did more tests. Each time Swami Vivekananda repeated the exact words written in the book.
  Later the librarian discovered that Swami Vivekananda had a photographic memory. He did not have to read books. His eyes, his mind, would capture the image on the page, and whenever he wished, he could just recall a book, a page, a sentence. That was the capacity of his brain and mind.

Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, and this is the way great spiritual giants are produced.”
